Hey! I’m Aimes, the face behind the bakes!
I began my cake journey (after spending years making disasters in my parents kitchen) in 2015 where I worked as a pastry chef in a fine dining restaurant and then after a couple of years went on to become a confectioner and ice cream maker where I could have a little more fun with my creations. As well as the baking and the tasting, I love the styling aspect. Being as creative as possible is where my true passion lies. I am constantly challenging myself with my designs, pushing myself to become better and better. I love the saying "find what you love and never stop learning from it".
One year ago I took the leap of faith and opened Aimes Bakes and I will never look back! Everything in my kitchen is baked fresh, from scratch, using only high-quality ingredients.
I make bespoke, crazy, wacky celebration cakes for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, christenings and more...
I also make tray bakes such as brownies, blondies and rocky road, for collection or local delivery, with a wide variety of styles, flavours and fillings for all your unique tastebuds... go take a look!
